Against the Wind was shown on Danish TV in the 1980s and - like in much of the rest of the world - took viewers by storm with its timeless, exciting drama about the Irish girl Mary Mulvane, who is sent to the continent as a prisoner after committing theft in her homeland.
In Australia, 3 million viewers followed the characters' lives and trials, making Against the Wind the most popular Australian series ever.
