Charcoal Water is produced with finely ground charcoal pigment and Arabic gum as a base. It can be diluted and spread just like regular watercolours, but the saturation and the depth of black are far superior.

Charcoal water is perfect for creating both bold lines as well as smooth transitions or shadows. Dried-out work can be reactivated with a drop of water. For best results, we recommend you to use it on any surface suitable for watercolour painting, i.e. quality watercolour paper.
