Protection For Active People

In appearance, the R-Shield looks like a regular lightweight accessory that sits around your neck, ready to be pulled up when you enter polluted or crowded areas, or to avoid dust, allergens, and pollen.

The R-Shield features a nanofibre membrane with millions of nano-sized pores per centimetre. This membrane blocks car emissions, pollen, viruses, bacteria, dust, and mites while allowing oxygen to flow freely.

RESPILON® nanofibres are so thin and light that one gram is enough to create a thread long enough to wrap around the Earth, and ten grams would stretch a line to the Moon, 385,000 km away.

The scarf is specifically designed to ensure inhaled air passes through the filter rather than around it. An adjustable strap and padded nose clip provide a secure fit on any face shape. From the bridge of the nose downwards, a protective net filter with a 0.01µm pore size covers the area. The R-Shield retains its properties through 50 washes, offering a long-term protective solution.

Filtration Properties

Independent tests have shown that regular polyester and cotton scarves block about 1%-3% of fine airborne particles. It has been demonstrated that the R-Shield nano filter blocks 99.9% of fine particles (PM1.0 & viruses). Tests have been conducted by Nelson Laboratories (USA), EMPA Laboratories (Switzerland), and VUT (Czech Republic).

Washing Instructions

It is recommended to use the R-Shield for up to 50 wash cycles before replacing it. To ensure the R-Shield stays in good condition, wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle or hand wash in a bowl of soapy water under 30°C. The filter is embedded in the fabric, and replacement is not needed.
