The history of this exquisite set, featuring a carefully curated colour selection, begins with David Kremer's journey to Iceland in 2013. It was during this year that promising earths for pigment production were discovered and transported to Germany to be milled into artist pigments. The partnership between Myndlistarvöruverslunin artsupplies.is and Kremer Pigmente began in 2023, and the fruit of their collaboration is this beautiful set, which we proudly present to you.
Apart from Brimisvellir Green , Heydalsvegur Yellow , and Snæfellsjökull Red , we have selected colours that evoke the Icelandic landscape: Cobalt Green Bluish, reminiscent of the lagoon next to Svartstengi; Thulite, a stone from Norway; Scarlet Red, a fiery hue; and Paris Blue, capturing the colour of the ocean and the rugged nature of the island. Lastly, Magnetite represents the final form of oxidized iron, an element that is so omnipresent here.
